  • The QCD must come out of your IRA by 12/31 and transfer directly from the IRA account to the end charity,
  • The limit is $100,000 per year per person, and
  • Eligible accounts include traditional IRAs, inherited IRAs, inactive SEP IRAs, or inactive Simple IRAs

2. Stock donations: Stock donations can be completed by US donors in the following two ways:

  • Via Donor Advised Fund (DAF): A DAF is a charitable giving account that allows US donors to donate appreciated assets, such as stock, for an immediate tax deduction equal to the Fair Market Value of the asset up to 30% of your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI). Over time, you are then able to recommend grants to tax exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations from the DAF. United Church of Bogota is a 501(c)3 organization and can be found under the following Tax Identification Number (TIN): 81‐5353529.
  • For direct transfer from your brokerage account to UCBIM, please contact ucbim@ucbogota.org for transfer instructions.
