Membership at UCB is simply our way of publicly acknowledging our need for Jesus, our trust in him, and our commitment to grow as disciples alongside other Christians in a local church. By becoming a member of UCB you are making a promise to worship, serve, struggle, pray, and mature together with the other believers who call this church their spiritual home. We believe this biblical commitment to one another will serve to both strengthen each other and communicate God’s love to the world around us.
There are five basic steps to becoming a member at UCB:
1. Attend Worship – We hope that you will spend some time getting to know us by attending worship regularly for a season. Ask questions. Get to know people. Check out one of our ministry groups.
2. Attend Intro to UCB – We host our membership class, Intro to UCB, three times per year. Stay tuned to the announcements on Sunday and in our weekly email for more details and sign up.
3. Fill out membership paperwork – We ask each individual to complete both our Membership Application as well as the Questionnaire.
4. Complete Membership Interview – After you have completed the class and the online applications, we will schedule an interview with one of our elders to answer any questions you might have.
5. Take Membership Vows – New members will be received into membership during one of our Sunday services.
